Sponsor shout-out

Space, Time, and Opportunity: Cornell St. Studio Sponsor Shout-Out!

In 2007, when the whole “The Hudson Valley is the new Brooklyn” movement was just a twinkle in Williamsburg’s eye, the Darmstadt family (aware that cool things were already happening here and anticipating that more were in Kingston’s future) opened Cornell St. Studios in midtown Kingston.

It began when Ken Darmstadt established the second floor of his building as a multi-studio space to host exhibits and fitness classes. Now, with Ken’s daughter Renee at the helm, Cornell St. Studio rents out their unique private event space, plus holds everything from cooking classes to car shows, art shows to Zumba classes, a gift shop full of handmade and vintage items, and more!

The versatility of Cornell St. Studios’ 1000+ sq. ft. space makes its diverse uses possible—it’s unique, accommodating, bright and open, and uber-functional. So whether you need space for a Sweet 16 party, a paint-a-onsie baby shower, a Zumba bachelorette party, or a small intimate wedding ceremony, they can make that happen!

And where would Kingston be without the arts? The Darmstadts celebrate the plentitude of local artists and crafters of all walks, giving them opportunity and space to share their work. Don’t miss the paintings of local artist Estelle Tambak in November, and the holiday pop-up shop, featuring the work of local crafters and artists during December (see below)!

Wen there’s not an event going on, Cornell St. is far from unused. There are different fitness classes Monday through Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings to get you moving and keep you well—everything from boot camps to yoga, hula hooping to pilates. You should also keep an eye on their website www.cornellstreetstudios.com for additional event information.

We’re so happy to have Cornell St. Studios on board as a Hullabaloo sponsor this year! The Darmstadts share our vision of a thriving creative community in Kingston and are dedicated to providing space, time, and opportunity for everyone to participate, share, be well, and have fun.  Don’t miss these two upcoming events in the Main Gallery, and tell them Hullabaloo sent you!:
