Miranda Lorberer – Miranda is the owner of Pop’s Tattoo Emporium on Morton Boulevard in Kingston.  In addition to being a kick-ass tattoo artist, she’s also an illustrator who will be selling her drawings and prints from space #17 at Hullabaloo!  Give the gift of art with one of her drawings, and talk to Miranda about getting tattooed (be sure to thank Pop’s for sponsoring Hullabaloo too!).

Merry Alchemy – Lisa of Merry Alchemy comes to Hullabaloo from Poughquag, where she creates her “classically ornate jewelry with a twist” from sterling silver, gold, crystals, pearls, and semi-precious gemstones.    Her delicate pieces are feminine, classic, and perfect for every day, and she also specializes in bridal jewelry.    At Hullabaloo, the beautiful Spiegeltent, space #29, is the perfect setting to house her elegant earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and more!

Here’s a little more about three of the handmade gift vendors joining us at our first annual Hudson Valley Hullabaloo!  (Check out the blog for more makers features, coming soon!)

Caroline Walp – Caroline received a BFA in printmaking from Ohio University and is currently an intern at Women’s Studio Workshop.  Her snarky “internet” prints, handcrafted books, and illustrations are thought-provoking, entertaining, and totally gift-worthy.  Check her out in space #18 at Hullabaloo!

The Red Caravan – Diana from Oneonta found her way to jewelry design through exploring drawing, photography, dance, and other artistic expressions.  She will be offering her leather jewelry at Hullabaloo in space #4.  She calls her original work “adornment for the urban character, the gypsy cowgirl, and the rebel soul.”  We call it “awesome Christmas gifts!”

Virginia Piazza Pottery – Virginia taught ceramics for 15 years and now focuses on making her line of handmade stoneware and porcelain pots.  Simple, elegant, and functional, her work is perfect for serving food and displaying flowers.  Virginia lives and works in Beacon, and will be in space #3 at Hullabaloo!

Wishbone Letterpress – Combining an antique process with fresh modern designs and their signature quirkiness and wit, Danielle and Joe hand-print their awesome letterpress cards, coasters, calendars, notebooks, and crowns on their antique presses in The Shirt Factory in Kingston.  They wholesale to small boutiques and national chains such as Urban Outfitters (have you seen their “rad” cards?), and do large shows across the country, as well as offering  custom wedding invitations, business cards, and more.   Danielle is the founder and chief organizer of Hudson Valley Hullabaloo.  You can see their work, and pick up your Christmas cards and other gifts, at their table in “The Arch” section, space #41.

Squirrel Den Studio – Squirrel Den Studio t-shirt designer Barbara lives in Peekskill, NY.  Her fun, clever, colorful animal-themed apparel for kids and adults make the perfect gifts for the animal lover on your list—a portion of her sales is donated to the SPCA!  Check out her work in space #37 at Hullabaloo!
