Hullabaloo Makers Feature: Makers from all over NY!

We’re so excited that these awesome makers will be traveling from NYC, and Beacon, and Oneonta to join us at our first annual Hudson Valley Hullabaloo!  (Check out the blog for more makers features, coming soon!)

Harp and Thistle Stitchery – Erin of Harp and Thistle offers her handmade needle punch (an ancient rug-hooking technique) ornaments, tapestries, wall hangings, wearable art, sachets, and more in both holiday and everyday themes.  Her creations have been featured on The Martha Stewart Show, marthastewart.com, Apartment Therapy, SheKnows.com, Etsy's Front Page, and other blogs, sites, and publications.  She’s from New York, NY, but will be setting up shop in space #35 (“The Arch” section) at Hullabaloo!  Stop by and check out her adorable avocado pieces, woodland themed sachets, and Christmas ornaments!

Cynla –  In “pursuit of stressing less” and encouraging others to do the same, Cindy makes cards, prints, and other products with happy, whimsical themes.  Including both hand-drawn art and digitally-colored work, Cindy’s designs are also influenced by her Japanese heritage and her travels.  She’s based in Beacon, NY, but can be found at space #9 at Hullabaloo!

Blackbird & Peacock – Hope Von Stengel of Blackbird & Peacock hails from Oneonta, NY.  Often collaborating with her husband Joe, Hope designs t-shirts, notebooks, cards, and stationary inspired by retro music, video games, toys, and pop culture, using recycled and eco-friendly material whenever possible.   At Hullabaloo space #22, Blackbird & Peacock will offer all sorts of geekery awesomeness for the cool adults and kids on your list!

Hullabaloo Makers Feature: Introducing…

Yay for these super cool makers who are joining us at our first annual Hudson Valley Hullabaloo!  (Check out the blog for more makers features, coming soon!)

Eco Skin Essentials – Who doesn’t love handmade, all-natural, vegan soaps, skin products, and hair care essentials?  And with a wide range of scents (from Peppermint Rosemary to Guinness Beer) these are great stocking stuffers for the whole family!  Eco Skin Essentials is located in West Shokan, NY.  You can find their products in Crafts People in West Hurley, and at space #14 at Hullabaloo!

Fruition Chocolate – Seriously, go see Fruition Chocolate in space #8 at Hullabaloo.  They’re a “bean to bar chocolate workshop” in Shokan, NY.  They’ve been featured in Oprah Magazine, Everyday with Rachel Ray, New York Magazine, and more, and won a Good Food Award and International Chocolate Awards.  Brown Butter Bourbon Caramels? Yes, please!

Gnorasaurus: A Branch of the Treehouse – Kathy creates her one-of-a-kind throw pillows, sachets, and pincushions from vintage fabric and embellishments.  She sells her work exclusively through her shop The Treehouse in New Paltz, NY, where she features 35 other local artists.  With great attention to detail and fun combinations of colors, textures, and fabrics, Kathy’s pillows fit perfectly into any décor!  You can find her at Hullabaloo in space #19.

Gray Works Design – Andrew Gray’s Footed Platte™ cutting boards have been featured in Dwell Magazine, Apartment Therapy, Martha Stewart’s Whole Living, and more.  In addition to his rustically chic cutting boards, Andrew also makes small furniture, bowls, and other accessories.  He hails from Woodstock, NY and will be at space #24 at Hullabaloo with beautiful gifts for the gourmet and more!

Beyond the Picket Fence – Gwen’s natural bath and body products are handmade in small batches in Middletown, NY.  Her soaps, facial products, hand and body care products,  oils, perfumes, and green laundry products are made with therapeutic-grade essential oils, herbs, and other natural and organic ingredients,  and are free of alcohol, fillers, synthetic fragrance, parabens, and sulfates.   Visit Beyond the Picket Fence at Hullabaloo in space #2 and pick up gifts for everyone on your list: from shaving cream for Dad to hand creams for your Secret Santa!

The Canning Jar – Janet Wendover makes her yummy low-sugar jams, pestos, and other sauces in Millbrook, NY.  With traditional and unique flavors, The Canning Jar’s products are perfect for the foodie, or hard-to-buy-for friend or co-worker (who doesn’t love jam!?!?) on your holiday shopping list. Janet can frequently be found at local farmers’ markets and special events.  At Hullabaloo, you can find her in space #21!

Dewey Howard by Elizabeth Grubaugh – Elizabeth offers an energetic collection of silkscreened prints, cards, journals, and home accessories.  Her organic cotton silkscreened drawstring bags are a favorite product—they have a million different uses, making them great gifts for just about anyone!  She hails from Tuxedo Park, NY, but you can say hello to her at space #6 at Hullabaloo!

Boneshaker Print Shop – Steven at Boneshaker Print Shop designs and screen prints awesome shirts, album packages, show posters, and more from his shop at the Shirt Factory in Kingston.  He specializes in custom work, and will be in space #32 (in “The Arch” area) at Hullabaloo with local-themed t-shirts and more featuring hip original designs!
