Vendor Feature: Gracemere Woods, Handmade Together, Ten Yards Clothing, and Outlast Goods

These vendors (from the cities and from the woods), are just a few of the more than 70 artists, designers, makers, and craftspeople hitting the road to join us for Hullabaloo in just a couple of weeks!  Whether you’re looking to decorate a cozy rural nest, make a special gift, strut your stuff, or just keep your pants on (without leaving your credit cards home), these four vendors will make it worth YOUR trip!

Gracemere Woods, Tarrytown, NY

Kimera and Yuichi live in the woods, surrounded by the beauty and magic of nature…and their desire toshare that inspired them to start creating their wall hangings, ornaments, magnets, and jewelry, which they wood-burn and hand-paint on tree trunk slices. Featuring your favorite forest flora and fauna, snapshots of landscapes, and other scenes, their style of painting is one of sophisticated whimsy. Their ornaments would be perfect on a woodland-themed Christmas tree, while a tree trunk wall hanging would spruce up (no pun intended) any vertical space. Each hand-painted necklace is one-of-a-kind and sure to make admirers pine (okay, that pun was intended) for their own. All make great gifts, and they also offer illustrated greeting cards to complete the package! Stop by Gracemere Wood’s table and welcome Kimera and Yuichi to their first Hullabaloo!

Handmade Together, Wappingers Falls, NY

Feeling crafty? Keely, the owner of Sunnyside Specialty Shop (a handmade gift emporium featuring local artists) and Handmade Together (which offers kids’ crafting parties and classes), tucked inside Graceland Tattoos in Wappingers Falls, will be back for her second Hullabaloo! Once again this year, she’ll be helping Hullabalooers create their own jewelry to wear with pride, or give as extra-special gifts. She’s adding a hand-stamping station so that customers can create their own charms. Imagine how impressed your BFF will be when she unwraps a piece of jewelry, laden with charms that perfectly express her interests and personality…She’ll ask where you got it, and you tell her Hullabaloo…and that the maker is YOU!  Favorite. Gift. Ever. ! Keely’s also an artist and will be offering some of her original artwork at her table.  So stop by her table and create a gift that’s truly personalized!

Ten Yards Clothing, Brooklyn, NY

Ten Yards is Sam Branman’s small-run, queer fashion label, offering unisex body-friendly clothing. All clothing—“from slutty summer clothes to cozy winter gear”—is hand-made in Brooklyn, from concept and design to pattern, production, and finishing touches.  Ten Yards makes bold patterns and daring cuts look good on everyone and Sam LOVES custom projects—he’s made everything from Halloween costumes to donut-patterned booty shorts, from gorgeous bathing suits to snazzy sweat suits (so sharp, you won’t want to sweat). He’s also got an amazing collection of scarves (patterns range from hip to hilarious), fabulous jewelry, and more.  (BTW, Sam is also a DJ, so be sure to click on “Mixes” on his website and give a listen to some awesome playlists/sets.) We’re psyched to have Ten Yards Clothing at Hullabaloo for the first time this year!  Stop by and buy yourself something special!

Outlast Goods, Newburgh, NY

We love family businesses, and Outlast Goods is a family business twice over…In Newburgh, “two Meyer brothers and one of wife” make high-quality leather goods using leather sourced from their family’s tannery (Pergamena), where they’ve been vegetable-tanning domestic hides for more than 500 years.  They only use hides that are by-products of the food system, so their leather is from American farms, full of character, and free of synthetic finishes. By hand, they hammer and stitch everything from wallets, belts, keychains, dog collars, leashes, and more “for modern men and women who appreciate goods crafted with integrity and a little irony.” Their designs offer a balance of form and function—they’ll hold all your cards and your cash too, without weighing down your pants! All their accessories are made to last, and guaranteed for life. The best part is that these aren’t your father’s leather wallets—they come in awesome colors like turquoise and kelly green. Say hello to the Outlast Goods family at their first Hullabaloo and pick up something classy and fun for the men (and ladies, and dogs!) in your family!
