Andrew Molleur – Andrew Molleur is a ceramic artist in Kingston, NY. Inspired and influenced by architecture, he uses a combination of traditional and modern techniques to create modern vases, planters, and other functional pieces with clean lines and geometric patterns. His work is available in several local stores including Clay, Wood & Cotton in Beacon, Scandinavian Grace in Shokan, and Culture + Commerce Project in Hudson. Check out the ceramic animals in his menagerie too!
Harp and Thistle Stitchery – Erin’s adorable handmade needle punch ornaments, tapestries, wall hangings, wearable art, sachets, and more have been featured on The Martha Stewart Show, marthastewart.com, Apartment Therapy, SheKnows.com, and many other blogs, sites, and publications. Using this ancient rug-hooking technique, Erin creates both holiday and everyday items that fit every aesthetic—she’s stocked with pieces featuring everything from traditional and folk-art subjects like Santas and birds, to whimsical woodland animals, from avocados and sushi rolls, to 3D anatomical hearts! Erin is heading up from NYC to join us at Hullabaloo again and we’re pleased as (needle-) punch to have her back!
J&L Pawsitively Perfect Pooch Treats This mother and daughter team (helped out on occasion by their Chief Tasting Officers Sophie and Bailey) bakes fresh, natural dog treats from their Hopewell Junction kitchen. They use only human-grade ingredients, with no animal by-products, fillers, chemicals, or preservatives, and add no sugars, salts, or artificial flavors. Their peanut butter and apple biscuits are making US drool, so imagine how much your pooches will love them!
Twisted Thread and Hook Magdalena makes her rope rugs and mats, fleece rugs, and rope décor (like coasters, curtain ties, ornaments, and more) in NYC. This is her first Hullabaloo, and we’re thrilled to have such a unique maker among us! Her nautical, beachy-chic rugs and accessories are inspired by her childhoods spent on the lakes in Poland and her love of crocheting. They fit perfectly with any décor and the soft texture of the rope provide a delightful foot massage! The gift that keeps giving…
Elizabeth Grubaugh Creative – Elizabeth returns to Hullabaloo with her beautiful collection of handmade gifts featuring prints she has designed in her Newburgh, NY studio. Adam Lauricella – The multi-talented owner of our sponsor Graceland Tattoo brings his fine and folk art to the arty party! While there are common themes and elements, much of Adam’s fine art illustrations and paintings are looser than the traditional style tattoos he inks on his clients. Those familiar with his work will notice that his appreciation of religious iconography, symbolism, juxtaposition, and repetition carry through, however. His paintings and drawings tell stories and communicate his interpretations of ideas and concepts that speak to him. Check them out at Hullabaloo and give someone on your list the gift of original art!
Field Apothecary – Talk about made-from-scratch!: Field Apothecary grows their organic herbs on their own farm in Germantown, NY, harvests and processes them by hand, and creates tinctures, extracts, bitters, tonics, syrups, oils, salves, salts, teas, soda kits, and other herbal remedies and culinary treats. They have been featured in numerous local and not-so-local publications, teach classes and workshops, and offer an herbal CSA! Give the gift of wellness from returning Hullabaloo vendor Field Apothecary this holiday season and support a business whose products are local from start to finish!
Exit 343 Design - Stephanie joins us for her first Hullabaloo all the way from Philadelphia! This one-woman-show prints all her silkscreened prints, cards, plushies, t-shirts, totebags, illustrated magnets, buttons, and more by hand. Many feature song-lyrics and other bits of pop culture and she typically does short runs of limited editions, so if you see something you like, buy it! Know someone who was “hip before it was hipster”? She’s got a t-shirt for them!
Rockerbox Spice Co. - Rama comes from a long line of garlic growers, which has given her not only an appreciation for the stinking rose, but also access to great, locally-grown garlic! She’s turned a family tradition into an innovative business of her own, creating garlic and onion powders (including mixes like Italian, BBQ rubs, the Fiesta Mix, and Sweet Corn Rub) by dehydrating and grinding the bulbs herself. She’s been featured in The Food Lover’s Guide to the Hudson Valley, The Daily Meal, Hand-Picked Nation, and more. Rama is based in Millbrook, and this is her first Hullabaloo! Pick some of her powders up at Hullabaloo to make your Thanksgiving meal a bit more memorable!
Zoo Kids Clothing - Jessica is bringing her handmade kids’ clothes from Troy for her first Hullabaloo! She’s come a long way since she made her first skirt out of upholstery swatches and glue in second grade, but she still uses found material from thrifting and vintage collection for just the right amount of quirkiness… Her adorably mismatched kids’ shorts, pants, dresses, tops, and accessories are perfect for your little monkeys!
Lock & Key Leathers – Ruggedly luxurious clutches, bags, wallets, and accessories from Crystal of Lock & Key Leathers are back at Hullabaloo! Crystal is from right here in Kingston, where she handcrafts her gorgeous waxed canvas and leather bags and other products. “Seriously distressed,” Crystal’s products are crafted with care, but have the worn beauty and character of something already well-worn and much-loved: they’re your new favorite bags that already feel like familiar favorites!
Eco Skin Essentials – For handmade, all-natural, vegan soaps and skin care products, visit returning Hullabaloo vendor Eco Skin Essentials! Jewels by Jaime Lynn Jaime is from Albany, where she creates delicate, feminine jewelry from sterling silver or the tarnish-resistant Argentium silver and high-quality gemstones and crystals. She describes her beautiful work as “unique, uncomplicated, and refreshing.” Jaime is new to Hullabaloo, and we’re glad to have her…and what lady on your shopping list wouldn’t be glad that you stopped at her table?
Maya’s Jams Jam lovers rejoice! The jam that won a Great Britain’s “Great Taste 2014” award will be available at Hullabaloo! Maya is based in Jeffersonville, where she makes her delicious jams from fruit hand-picked from her family’s orchards. Her jams are all gluten-free and vegan, using all natural ingredients and real liqueurs to create innovative flavors like pear Cointreau, strawberry balsamico, hot raspberry chili, and more traditional flavors like black cherry and raspberry cranberry. She’s been featured in Edible Manhattan and other publications too. Can you think of anything better on Christmas morning than amazing jam on your toast?
