Shopping any big market can feel overwhelming—you’ve got a few hours, a long list of gifts to find, tons of vendors to browse, and oh no… you got distracted by donuts. (Us too.) So here are a few helpful tips to make your Hullabaloo experience joyful, efficient, and delicious.
Timing Tips
If you’re not big on crowds or are immune compromised, the first hour and the last two hours of each day tend to be the quietest. And Sundays almost always see fewer attendees at markets in general, including ours.
Parking Tips
Slower times also mean easier parking! Here’s where you can park:
A small lot at the venue
The municipal lot next to Monkey Joe’s (entrance behind the coffee shop; paid on Saturdays)
Street parking: Broadway is metered Saturdays + free Sundays; most side streets are unmetered—just watch for driveways
A municipal lot behind Eliza and Frank Guido’s—about a 5–10 minute walk
Prefer not to drive? There’s a bike rack on the side of the building, and a City of Kingston bus stop right outside the venue.
A Quick Note on Sound
If you're sensitive to music, you may want to bring earplugs or headphones to soften the sound. We keep the volume comfortable, but the Hullabaloo is a party!
Entry Details
Don’t forget to bring cash for the entrance fee—$2 per adult, kids 12 and under are free. (There are no nearby ATMs.)
Snacks + Food
Market-day munchies are real, and we’ve got you covered. Hole in the Wall Donuts will be there with their addictive flavors, plus delicious food from Samosa Shack and Harana Market to keep you fueled while you shop.
Save Time for Fun Extras
While you’re crossing names off your gift list, leave a little time for you, too:
