The region's favorite holiday market brings 70+ makers and vintage vendors back to Midtown
Holiday shopping gets a lot more fun & festive this November, when 70+ makers and vintage vendors set up inside the Andy Murphy Midtown Neighborhood Center for the Hudson Valley Hullabaloo. Doors open Saturday, November 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, November 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Since 2013, the Hullabaloo has been a chance to buy gifts straight from the people who made them (and hear how they were made!). More than 60 of this year's vendors are coming back, joined by a handful of first-timers
Shoppers who've been coming for years will find, among the many familiar faces, Shoshona Snow Ceramics and her graphic carved porcelain (full of animal friends!); Fruition Chocolate Works and all their goodies; and The Ardent Homesteader with their craveable Cara-Sel salted caramel sauce. Some of this year’s newcomers include Dichotomy Home, which builds one-of-a-kind charcuterie and cutting boards; Tende Beauty, a plant-based line from Beacon; and Salix Glass handcrafts stained glass birds, butterflies, and abstract pieces.
Between booths, there's plenty more to take in:
● DJ Mr. Chips on the decks all weekend
● Tintype portraits with Tom DeLooza Photography
● Pay-what-you-want portraits from Thorneater Comics
● A holiday card you print yourself (with purchase) on Quick Brown Fox Letterpress's tabletop press
● Permanent jewelry from KING + CURATED, applied on the spot
● Samosa Shack, Phoenicia Diner, and Hole in the Wall Donuts to keep everyone fed

Admission is $2 cash at the door; kids 12 and under are free. Dogs will need to sit this one out, since City of Kingston rules don't allow them in the building.

Parking is tight around the Midtown Neighborhood Center, so grab a friend and carpool, or bike or walk over if you're close by. Shoppers who like a little more room to browse tend to prefer the first hour of the day and the last two hours before close.
As always, follow along on Facebook and Instagram for vendor sneak peeks and more!
